We are in the midst of a Eucharistic Revival! The National Eucharistic Revival was launched on the Feast of Corpus Christi in June 2022. Sponsored by the U.S. Catholic bishops, the revival aims to inspire people to encounter Jesus in the Eucharist.

As part of the National Eucharistic Revival, the Diocese of Raleigh kicked off their centennial celebration with a Eucharistic Congress on October 21, 2023. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Diocese of Raleigh and the Eucharistic Revival, the diocese invites the faith community to pray the following together.

Lord God, you alone are the source of every good gift, of the vast array of our universe, and the mystery of each human life. We praise you and we thank you for your tender, faithful love. As the Diocese of Raleigh celebrates the 100th Anniversary if its founding, we stand before you with gratitude and joy for the many gifts and blessings you have bestowed upon the faithful of this Diocese.

In imitation of Christ, your Son, you raised up courageous individuals, such as Servant of God, Father Thomas Frederick Price, and Saint Katherine Drexel, and through the countless efforts of its bishops, clergy, and the women and men who tirelessly gave of their wisdom and generosity, you have shaped a Diocese capable of bearing the fruit of compassion and charity in service to the needs of others.

Send forth now, we pray, your Spirit upon the faithful of the Diocese of Raleigh who look forward to another hundred years of the presence of Christ burning in our hearts. As we recall the great events, which enabled the flourishing of our Diocese, fill our minds with Christ's truth and our hearts with his love.

 As we look forward to the future may we be bonded together by the Holy Spirit and commit ourselves once again to grow as credible witnesses of the Gospel of Christ so that, as we walk your ways with faith and hope, we may  never tire of bringing Christ's joy into this world.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Starting Monday, August 26, 2024, we will pray the following prayer at the end of Mass. It is a shortened version of the Diocese of Raleigh's centennial prayer and also celebrates the Eucharistic Revival.

Eucharistic Revival Prayer (English)
O Lord God, source of every good gift, renew in your Church the truth, beauty, and goodness contained in the Most Blessed Eucharist. As the Diocese of Raleigh celebrates its 100th Anniversary, we stand before you with gratitude and joy for the many gifts and blessings you have bestowed upon the faithful.

As we lift you up in this year of the Eucharistic Revival and look forward to the future, may your Holy Spirit bind us closer together as a people of the parish and Diocese, and draw all people to join us at this Banquet of Life.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.

Amen.

Oh Señor Dios, fuente de todo don, renueva en tu Iglesia la verdad, la belleza y la bondad contenidas en la Santísima Eucaristía. Mientras la Diócesis de Raleigh celebra su centenario, nos presentamos ante ti con gratitud y alegría por los muchos dones y bendiciones que has otorado a los fieles.

Al exaltarte en este año del Avivamiento Eucarístico y mirar hacia el futuro, que tu Espíritu Santo nos una más estrechamente como pueblo a la parroquia y a la Diócesis, y atraiga a todas las personas a unirse a nosotros en este Banquete de Vida.

Te lo pedimos por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, tu Hijo, que vive y reina contigo y con el Espíritu Santo, Dios por los siglos de los siglos.
