Fr. Cesar Torres Martinez was born in Mexico City, Mexico on April 29, 1963, to Ramon Torres and Ana Maria Martinez, and is the third of six children. He has two brothers and three sisters. His sister, Elizabeth, is a sister in the Order of the Servants of Our Lady of Sorrows. He grew up in Mexico City where he attended elementary and middle school.
Fr. Cesar attended the Hispanic Seminary of the Santa Maria of Guadalupe in Mexico City. He was ordained a priest on May 16, 1993. Before coming to St. Mark, he served as the parochial vicar at Saint Mary Parish in Laurinburg and Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Raeford. He is a priest of the Diocese of Nezahualcóyotl.
Fr. Cesar enjoys reading, listening to music, working on projects, trying different foods, and engaging with the faithful community.
