Spiritual Book Club: The Mary Pages

Join the Spiritual Book Club on Tuesday, May 13th, 1pm-2pm, in the St. Juan Diego Room to discuss the book, The Mary Pages: An Atheist's Journey to the Mother of God, by Sally Read. Read, who was raised in an atheist household saw images of the Blessed Virgin Mary during her earliest childhood. Conscious of the conflict between her feminist values and what came to be a fascination with Marian art, Read, through tumultuous relationships, loneliness, and distant places began a unique quest to discover the true essence of Mary.

This book contains the strange, raw, and epiphany-filled stories that led to Read's dramatic nine-month conversion from atheism to Catholicism. Book is available from Word on Fire and other booksellers.
