The feature film and docudrama, Saint Pio of Pietrelcina: Man of Hope and Healing, provides the viewer with an insightful look into one of the most beloved saints of the 20th century whose simple humility and profound faith transformed lives around the world.
Co-produced by EWTN and the Saint Pio Foundation, the film reveals new insights into Saint Pio's life and legacy, emphasizing his healing and intercessory power. Widely known as Padre Pio and known for his faith and the miracles attributed to his intercession, this 20th century Italian saint enjoyed a wide following during his life and in the intervening decades.
The film includes original footage and re-enactments as well as never-before-seen photos and letters that provide an intimate view of the saint's life. Narrated by the Tony Award-winning actor, Joe Mantegna, the docudrama features the testimonies of actor, Gary Sinise, singer, Jose Feliciano, actor, Robert Davi, artist, Timothy Schmalz, chef, Chris Bianco, and writer, Renzo Allegri.
