The Knights of Columbus and the Legion of Mary will present Bernadette, the 1988 classic film, on Saturday, September 16th following the 5pm Mass in the Parish Hall.
The film follows the remarkable story of St. Bernadette Soubirous, "the little saint of Lourdes," and stars actress, Syndey Penny. Sydney Penny will also make a special appearance at the screening and discuss her work and experience in this film.
The story unfolds with St. Bernadette's early life of poverty and ill health and focuses on her simple, but profound faith that defined her as much as the appearances of the Blessed Mother to her in 1858. Filmed on location in France, this film was selected to be the movie shown daily at Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine.
Don't miss this opportunity to gather for food, refreshments, and be inspired by the amazing life of St. Bernadette. The event is FREE, however, donations are greatly appreciated. The film is rated PG and lasts 2 hours.
Please RSVP HERE if you and your family plan to attend. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to help the Knights and Legion of Mary plan; however, walk-ins are also welcome.
